As Licensee:

Independent Rentals is a small rental company, renting new and used vehicles.

It is locally owned and operated by Robert Anthony (Tony) Stanger, with the assistance of friendly and pleasant staff. Independent Rentals are licensed to Network Car and Truck Rentals.

We will provide you with local information and match your rental vehicle with your budget.

RENTAL INFORMATION:
Deposit:
An acceptable security deposit is to be determined at the time of rental.
Payment:
Total hire fee for the period booked must be paid on collection of the vehicle. Accepted payment methods are: cash, travellers cheques, Bankcard, Mastercard and Visa. Personal and company cheques may be accepted with prior approval of the management. Diners Club and American Express Cards are also accepted.
Bookings:
Bookings can be made on call direct 1800 678 843
Drivers:
All intending drivers must present a current drivers licence. All Australian and overseas licences are accepted. Drivers must be between 21 and 70 years of age.
Vehicles:
Vehicles will be confirmed by group only and not by specific make and model.
Pick up:
Pick up and drop off service is offered from Townsville Airport, seven days a week and also from local nominated sites.
Prices:
Prices are subject to change without notice but will be fixed once a booking has confirmed.
Damage:
Missing items, cigarette lighters, hubcaps, radios etc, and damaged tyres are not covered by insurance and are exclusive of damage liability.
Fuel:
Hirers are responsible for all costs incurred during hire period.
Late Returns:
Excess hours are charged at $10 per hour. Should you require to keep the  vehicle for an extended period this can be arranged, subject to availability, by contacting the office prior to the due time of return.
Road Side Assistance:
All vehicles are covered by RACQ (Automobile Association) roadside assistance Australia wide. Any cost incurred due to hirer error, e.g. keys locked in car, will be charged to the hirer.
